Discussing Blown MOSFETs in an Inverter Circuit

Please read the previous post for continuation...

Hi Swagatam, I did what you said and it looks like IC2 is firing first, it blinks four times, then IC1 blinks four times. AH HA !
We're getting close !   What next ??
Sincerely Ali

Hi Ali,

So now it becomes more baffling, it simply means that my circuit is intact...........what do we do now?

Well, now I feel that the only thing that may be damaging the mosfets is its inadequate heatsinking.

Attach them to LARGE finned type heatsinks, and see what happens......... that hopefully should fix it...otherwise, now I have totally run out of ideas.

Good Luck to you Buddy,

Regards.

Hi Swagatam, could it mean that I have an error in my circuit on the PCB. Which area of the circuit is responsible for the IC1 & IC2 Firing Order. May be I have screwed up that part of the Circuit. The Heat Sink that I am using is a Massive heat sink from an old amplifier I scraped for parts.

Hi Swagatam, sorry it just sunk in. It doesn't matter which IC fires first, just that they Do Not fire at the same time, right?
Sincerely Ali

Hi Ali,

That's right. The ICs should alternately produce the pulses at their respective diode junctions and the cycle should keep repeating. Also, each diode junction should produce four discrete "blinks" or pulse at its outputs, each pulse is responsible of generating the individual pillar of our waveform.

Regards.

Hi Swagatam, so the big question, is why won't the circuit work. I'm assuming that this problem would be the same for the Transistors.Blowing them up too.
I have two capacitors as filters accross the transformers inputs and outputs.
This circuit has got to work, it has to be something simple. But what.
You can't think of anything Swagatam?
Sincerely Ali
