Simple, Constant Current Automobile Battery Charger Circuit Using IC LM 338


The headlights at the output may be incorporated in series with the load, to monitor the charging condition of the battery.
 The glow on the bulb is indirectly proportional to the charge in the batter. Therefore, initially when the battery is being charged the bulb filament shows some glow in it and when the battery gets fully charged, the bulb filament shows no glow or very weak glow.
